Antimicrobial Stewardship in Food Animals in Canada: Progress on Recommendations and Stakeholder Activities

The National Farmed Animal Health and Welfare Council released in a report which highlights recent stakeholder stewardship activities in addition to reviewing the progress on Council recommendations. The Council has planned a webinar with the release of this report on April 10, 2019 at 3:00 EDT to highlight stakeholder activities, discuss progress on Council recommendations, and discuss the development of the Pan-Canadian Action Plan on Anti-Microbial Resistance. The four components of this framework include:

  • Surveillance
  • Infection Prevention & Control
  • Stewardship, and
  • Research & Innovation
